Learning disabilities

For people with learning disabilities, our service is centred on independence, inclusion and choice. We support with personal care, communication, daily living skills, and access to education, work and leisure activities. Our staff use clear, respectful communication and adapt support to each person’s level of understanding and preferred way of expressing themselves.

We believe that everyone has strengths and the right to be part of their community. We therefore encourage people to make decisions about their own lives, develop new skills, build friendships and take part in activities they enjoy. We also work closely with families and other professionals to create consistent support plans, reduce barriers and promote equal opportunities.
